Gazprom says limits pumping via Nord Stream on equipment problems

MOSCOW, Jun 14 (PRIME) -- Russian gas giant Gazprom can only pump up to 100 million cubic meters of gas per day through the Nord Stream pipeline, while the plan is 167 million cubic meters because of equipment troubles at the Portovaya compressor station, the company said in a statement on its Telegram channel on Tuesday.

"Due to a belated return of gas pumping equipment by company Siemens (Germany) after repairs, the end of the period between repairs and technical issues with the components (notification about temporary prohibition of the activities has been received from the Federal Service for Environmental, Technological, and Nuclear Oversight), only three gas pumping equipment units can be used at the Portovaya compressor station," Gazprom said.
